OnePlus has started its new year on a busy note with the company’s Winter Edition Launch event on Friday, January 14, featuring the launch of the OnePlus 9RT 5G smartphone and Buds Z2 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds in India. The OnePlus 9RT, which releases after the OnePlus 9R, is an affordable flagship phone.

The recently released OnePlus 9RT has many similarities with its predecessor, the OnePlus 9R. However, the company has made minor adjustments to the phone’s general design, giving it a more expensive appearance. The rear of the OnePlus 9RT is done with frosted glass and has a metallic appearance. Gorilla Glass 5 protects the phone’s backside.

OxygenOS 12 To Roll Out in India during March – April

A flagship-level smartphone in 2022 will not come with Android 12 out of the box, much to the dismay of many. However, delivering a reliable Android 11 experience is preferable to delivering a flawed Android 12 experience. However, the OnePlus 9RT will soon receive the Android 12 or OxygenOS 12 upgrade from the Chinese consumer electronics company.

OnePlus states that the OxygenOS 12 will release in India between March and April 2022. It’s worth mentioning that the smartphone debuted in China with OxygenOS 12, however, this was not the case in India. However, the months of March and April are not far away.

Should Buy It or Not

The price of the OnePlus 9RT is likely to be approximately Rs 40,000. And, at that price, it’s a worthy improvement over the OnePlus 9R. Any more than that, and it becomes a point of contention.

In any case, the 9RT is designed for gamers and performance fans. As a result, don’t anticipate outstanding cameras. Except in Night Mode, when it performs admirably. but waiting for the Xiaomi 11T Pro can be a wise choice as well.

The Galaxy S21 FE, on the other hand, is a well-rounded phone with a superior set of cameras, IP certification, and wireless charging capability if you can pay an extra 10k and don’t worry as much about raw performance. You also get OneUI 4.0, which is based on Android 12, which is a win.

OnePlus 9RT is available on the official Oneplus website and Amazon at 42,999 with customizable RAM and storage up to 46,999.
