After the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, Reno 7, and Reno 7 SE, the Oppo Reno 7 Z 5G is the latest handset to be released under a new mid-range smartphone line. The device’s specifications were revealed in Thailand by the company.
Oppo’s latest mid-range phone joins the Reno 7 family of phones, which also includes the Reno 7 5G and Reno 7 Pro 5G. The Oppo Reno 7Z is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and quick charging. The Reno 7Z 5G also has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, as well as Dimensity 800U, a 64-megapixel triple camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera.
Oppo Thailand announced the debut of the Oppo Reno 7Z 5G on Twitter. The device’s pricing was revealed on Oppo Thailand’s social media platforms a day after its introduction. Oppo Reno 7Z 5G is available in two color variants, according to the official website: Cosmic Black and Rainbow Spectrum.

The Oppo Reno 7Z 5G is available in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It costs Thai Bhat 12,990, or around Rs 30,000 in Indian currency. The phone is currently only available in Thailand.
Specifications
Oppo Reno 7Z 5G is equipped with a 6.43″ FHD+ (1,8002,400 pixels) AMOLED to display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. The display has a pixel density of 409ppi and a maximum brightness of 600 units. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC with Adreno 619 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, as well as 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be upgraded with a microSD card. In terms of software, the gadget runs ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 12.
The Oppo Reno 7Z 5G has a triple rear camera arrangement that includes a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the gadget has a 16MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture on the front.

A 4500mAh battery powers this phone, which has an under-display fingerprint sensor. This battery offers rapid charging at a rate of 33 watts. Dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack are among the phone’s connectivity features.
Oppo making progress toward 5G ecosystem
Oppo, one of India’s top five smartphone makers, has opened its third lab in Hyderabad, focusing on “Power and Performance.” At the center, it had already installed a camera and 5G laboratories. These facilities are part of the company’s global R&D budget of $7 billion, which was disclosed in 2019.
Oppo is currently collaborating with academic institutions and businesses to establish a 5G “environment.” According to a top official, the Chinese smartphone company is also willing to collaborate with Indian academics on 6G technology.
The company is closely working with Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel to better plan its product portfolio for the 5G technology.
Tasleem Arif, Oppo India’s R&D Head, told ET that the handset company’s headquarters is focused on 5G and 6G technologies and is looking for collaboration in these areas.

The new Oppo Reno 7Z 5G is now only available in Thailand. Simultaneously, the Oppo Reno 7Z 5G pricing and availability in India remain unknown. It may come to India shortly. There isn’t much information on the phone yet, and we won’t know much until it’s released and tested.
